I wanted to share my experience in this group and also with Lesa's birth course with my pregnancy it is a bit long but Lesa has been through a lot with me since joining this group so I hope you take the time to read!
I wanted to share that I had my baby girl Everly Gray Wiltbank on April, 17th, 2020 at 10:11 pm! She weighed 6 pounds 5 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long! A bit of backstory, I met Lesa Williams through this group which was first named My Body is not Broken in the fall of 2018! At the time I was still grieving heavily over the loss of my son who was a stillborn in March 2018, I was also struggling with PTSD from past sexual, mental and trauma. The flashbacks were magnified and triggered from the loss of my son because not only did I lose him from my life I lost him in my womb and that loss triggered the pain I'd been carrying since childhood! Long story short I had begun trauma therapy with counseling and doing all I could to let things go but it was always like scratching the surface. I was so drawn to Lesa and her work and all she taught and shared it struck a chord deep inside where nothing else could reach and I began noticing I was allowing and learning how to heal from the womb out! In the time knowing her I suffered losing my mom in December 2018 and a subsequent miscarriage in late February of 2018! With these losses and the loss of my son she stayed a bright light at the end of the tunnel always encouraging always, teaching always knowing just what I needed to hear and see! I promise this is a short story lol....but I have to share all of the pieces to show you the puzzle Lesa has helped me put together! I was able to get pregnant again In Late August 2020 and again she stayed close and vigilant with me and offered me her birth course when it was the right time.....believe me it came at the right time!!! I was struggling, constantly on pins and needles scared to death something would go wrong and that I'd lose my daughter like it had with my son. I did not realize how hard a pregnancy would be after a loss, the closer I got to the end the harder it was because I lost him at 32 weeks. Trauma came up with it and then the Covid 19 happened and turned us upside down! Another fear another for my daughter still in the womb! I can tell you though when I started Lesa's course I became grounded, I remembered my strength and what my body was made to do and instead of focusing on fear of the unknown focused on the experience if what I did know by Lesa's structured lessons, journaling exercises and looking with in refocuses your time energy and reminds you where you and your body has been, what you've learned, what you need to relearn and let go of! The lesson doesn't stop with birth, she offers postpartum support and help after birth The last week of the course and graduation is after birth If anyone here is struggling with past traumas including past births, loss of any kind and uncertainty in this crazy changing world please talk to Lesa Williams about her birth course it is well worth the investment in you, your womb, your sanity and your heart and soul!! |
